Because of the lockdown in Shanghai during the Covid, the local residents experienced six months of life without leaving their doors. During this period, people and public space were in solitude, which reflects a particular aesthetic and a dictatorship of power over people and space. While in China, the driving force behind such liminal spaces comes from politics.
